Secretary General Takebe, Party Executives, and Freshman Congressmen Participated in the Fund-Raising Campaign for the Victims of Earthquake Pakistan on the Street in Tokyo

Fund-raising campaign for the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan on the streets took place in Yurakucho at noon, on October 13. Over forty Congressman including Secretary General Takebe, Deputy Secretary-General Abe and other party Executives together with the newly elected Congressmen participated in the campaign, and asked for contributions directly toward the people on the street, to "spread the network of aid". High interest towards the severe earthquake which struck Pakistan a week ago could been seen, as wide range of people, such as office workers on duty and mother and child enjoining shopping, contributed, putting their compassions for the victims into the donation box.
After participating in the campaign, Secretary-General Takebe immediately visited the embassies of both Pakistan and India who suffered the damage of the earthquake. He showed profound sympathies toward the victims, while promising the assistance for reconstruction.
