Prime Minister and LDP President Yoshihide Suga met with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to confirm both countries' intentions to further strengthen their close bilateral alliance. It was Prime Minister Suga's first meeting with a foreign ministerial level official since taking office. After their discussion, he also met with Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne and Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
