Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe attended the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombing. He emphasized Japan's commitment, as the only country to have experienced the horror of nuclear devastation in war, to work hand-in-hand with atomic bomb survivors to do everything possible toward realizing "a world free of nuclear weapons."
