As part of Japan's efforts to bring the World Expo 2025 to Osaka, Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from the Enquiry Mission of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) led by Choi Jai-chul, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Delegate of the Republic of Korea to the BIE, during their visit to Japan. Prime Minister Abe promoted the city, telling the guests that "Osaka is very cosmopolitan, has very friendly people, and has delicious food."
