Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from General Mark Milley, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, in which they shared their perceptions regarding the situation in North Korea and emphasized the importance of demonstrating to the world the strongbonding of the Japan-US alliance. Both leaders agreed to exert maximum pressure towards the achievement of full, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization, and to strengthen the alliance between Japan, the United States, and South Korea.
