CHAPTER XI
TERMS OF OFFICE

  • Article 81
    1. The term of office for Party Officers shall be one year except for the President, whose term shall be three years. All Officers are eligible for reappointment.
    2. The term of a President elected by open vote in accordance with the termination of the predecessor’s term shall commence on the day directly following his predecessor's close of term.
    3. In the event that the post of President is vacated and the presidential election is requested according to the provision of Article Six Clause 4, and that a new President is elected under the provisions of Article Six Clause 2 and Clause 4, the term of office of the new President shall be the remaining term of his predecessor.
    4. The term of office for the President cannot be extended for more than two consecutive terms (except in the instance described in the preceding Clause).
    5. When a new President is elected, the terms of office for all other Officers shall expire automatically in spite of the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article.
    6. The term of office for a substitute for any Officer other than the President shall be the remainder of the term. Newly appointed Officers' term of office shall be the same as that for any other Officer.
  • Article 82
    An Officer shall carry out his duty, even after the closing of his term, until the time a successor is duly appointed.
