Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe met with His Holiness Pope Francis of the Vatican. Prime Minister Abe said "Japan will continue to make every effort to achieve 'a world without nuclear weapons' as the only country in the world to ever be attacked by nuclear weapons." His Holiness Pope Francis replied, "We welcome Japan's efforts and support its resolve."
