Prime Minister Shinzo Abe watches children's rugby and meets with primary school students

UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe deepened their ties through a visit to Twickenham Stadium, which is said to be the sacred home of British rugby. After viewing a special exhibition about rugby in Japan, the leaders were welcomed by primary school children on the pitch and then watched the children play rugby. Mr. Abe also presented replica balls from the upcoming Rugby World Cup Japan 2019 to participating primary school students as souvenirs of the occasion.
