Prime Minister Shinzo Abe meets with leaders at the "10th Mekong-Japan Summit"

Japan contributes significantly to the growth and development of countries in the Mekong region, and over the past three years, Japanese companies have invested more than 2 trillion yen in these countries. Prime Minister and LDP President Shinzo Abe had the opportunity to exchange opinions with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Laotian Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. During the conference, Prime Minister Abe explained the "Tokyo Strategy 2018" for Mekong-Japan cooperation and its three pillars: connection (building quality infrastructure etc.), people, and the environment.
