Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with President Yoweri Museveni of the Republic of Uganda. During their conversation, they agreed to promote infrastructure development and strengthen bilateral ties. Speaking to a joint press conference, Prime Minister Abe said, "Our goal is to develop quality infrastructure and quality people" and announced the provision of a 20 billion yen loan for the building of an overpass among other structures in the capital city of Kampala.
