CHAPTER VII
DIET AFFAIRS BODIES

Section 1
General Assembly of Members
of the House of Representatives

Article 58

The General Assembly of Members of the House of Representatives shall consist of the LDP Members of the House of Representatives and shall deliberate issues related to the Party's activities in the House of Representatives.
Article 59
1. The Assembly shall have a Chairman and not more than three Deputy Chairmen.
2. The Chairman of the General Assembly of Party Members of the House of Representatives shall convene and preside over the meetings of the Assembly.
3. The Deputy Chairmen shall assist the Chairman.
4. The Chairman and the Deputy Chairmen shall be elected at the General Assembly.
Article 60

The decisions of the General Assembly shall be made by a majority of those present; in the event of a tie, the Chairman shall cast the deciding vote.

Section 2
General Assembly of Members
of the House of Councillors

Article 61

The General Assembly of Members of the House of Councillors shall consist of the LDP Members of the House of Councillors and, in consideration of the role of a two-chamber parliamentary system, shall deliberate all issues related to the Party's activities in the House of Councillors.
Article 62
1. The General Assembly of Members of the House of Councillors shall have a Chairman and not more than five Deputy Chairmen.
2. The Chairman shall convene and preside over the meetings of the General Assembly.
3. The Deputy Chairmen shall assist the Chairman.
4. The Chairman and Deputy Chairmen shall be elected at the General Assembly.
Article 63

The decisions of the General Assembly shall be made by a majority of those present; in the event of a tie, the Chairman shall cast the deciding vote.

Section 3
Party Positions and Committees
in the House of Councillors

Article 64
1. There shall be a Secretary-General for the LDP in the House of Councillors, a Chairman of the LDP Policy Board in the House of Councillors, a Chairman of the LDP Diet Affairs Committee in the House of Councillors, and other Officers necessary for the promotion of the Party's Diet activities in the House of Councillors.
2. The Secretary-General for the LDP in the House of Councillors, Chairman of the LDP Policy Board in the House of Councillors, Chairman of the LDP Diet Affairs Committee in the House of Councillors, and other Officers shall be elected by ballot, or be approved, by the General Assembly of Members of the House of Councillors.
